Sauces, Dressings and Dips.

Sauces are to food what touching is to sex. Cooking in any meaningful way is impossible without sauces, which can be either ingredients in the dish or additions on the side. While some are complex and quite difficult to produce, most are really very simple and quite easy to make. Sauces are well worth thought and study, as, with very little extra effort they can transform an otherwise ordinary meal into a gourmet delight.
