Venison Dishes.

The word venison derives ultimately from the latin words Venatio, meaning a hunt, and Venator, meaning a huntsman. Venison, therefore, is wild meat that has been hunted down, rather than meat from domesticated animals. Unless you hunt yourself, or you know someone who does, it is unlikely that you will ever come across venison as bush meat. Today’s product, stocked in supermarkets and specialist butcheries is almost entirely farmed meat, but is delicious nevertheless.
