Oyster Pork

Something quick, something simple, something tasty, something nutritious. This one has it all. Having prepared the sauce mix, chopped up the vegetables and sliced the meat well beforehand and put them in the refrigerator, it is simply a matter of boiling up some noodles and putting everything together, which takes about ten minutes.

Ingredients.

2 tablespoons oyster sauce.

1 tablespoon dark soy sauce.

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar.

1 tablespoon cornflour.

Dash cayenne pepper.

Salt to taste.

1 cup of cider.

½ cup oil.

300g thinly sliced pork fillet.

2 good cups chopped vegetables.

Noodles.

Method.

Mix the oyster sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, cornflour, cayenne, and salt together in the cider, mix well and set aside. Prepare the meat and the vegetables. Bring a pot of salted water to the boil for the noodles and place a sauté pan on a hot flame.

Place the noodles in the boiling water and add the oil to the pan. Stir fry the meat until cooked through, then add the vegetables, stir frying for a minute or two to get really hot. Add the sauce mixture and bring to the boil, stirring frequently. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook, stirring, for another two or three minutes to let the sauce thicken and completely cover the meat and vegetables.

Serve immediately over the noodles.
